Abstract

Level of emotional intelligence of secondary school principals in the Northern Jeddah Education Office. The study adopted the descriptive correlative approach, where the sample of the study was chosen in a simple random way from the total community, and it included (348) teachers, administrative employees, laboratory attendants, agents, school administration supervisors, and student mentors in secondary schools in the Northern Education Office of the city of Jeddah by (10%) of the total study population. Their number is approximately (3634) single, during the first semester of the year (1444-2022 AD) according to human resources statistics in the Northern Jeddah Education Office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study revealed a set of results, the most important of which are: The results of the current study showed that the practice of participatory leadership among secondary school principals in the North Jeddah office was (significant) degree. Also, the results of the current study showed that the emotional intelligence of secondary school principals in the North Jeddah office was significantly increased. The results of the current study also revealed that there is a high, positive and statistically significant correlation at the level of statistical significance (0.01) between the degree of participatory leadership practice and the level of emotional intelligence among secondary school principals in the Northern Jeddah Education Office. Also, the results of the current study revealed that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the study sample's response towards the practice of participatory leadership and emotional intelligence among secondary school principals in the Northern Jeddah Education Office due to the two variables (job title and number of years of experience)
