Abstract
This research aims to introduce the modern Rational School, its roots, and directions, focusing on its figures, their opinions, trends, and methodologies. I have taken an interest in them, as their ideas and writings have spread in Islamic libraries among scholars. To achieve the objectives of this research, it includes a critical doctrinal study. I have indicated that the problem of this research is summarized in the extent of the influence of the proponents of this Rational School on Islam and Muslims. The general aim of the research is to demonstrate that the reasons for the deviation of this school are due to prioritizing reason and placing it above the infallible texts. Additionally, it aims to clarify the stance of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah towards the proponents of this Rational School, in a scientific manner free from bias or fanaticism, and to present this as advice for Muslims and a defense of Islamic doctrine. I have also made an effort to highlight the truths they mentioned or the correct approach they sometimes adopted. One of the findings of this research is that despite the modernity of this school, its strong connection and imitation of the ancient roots of major theological sects became evident.
