The Ottoman calligraphy in the fundamental books of qiraat (Quranic recitation)- a comparative study -

Abstract

Main idea of the research :  the idea is summarized in highlighting the efforts of some inferential scholars to Quranic recitation with the Ottoman calligraphy, And making a  comparison between the most prominent and well-known inferences’ books, which are:  The evidence in the seven modes of recitation  attributed to Ibn Khalawiyeh (D.370/980), the argument for the seven readers for Abu Ali Al-Farsi (D. 377/987),  And the evidence on the modes of recitation for Ibn Zangala (d. 403/1012), And to  highlight their methodologies of inferring the Ottoman  calligraphy features and invoking it for  modes of recitation in their books.  The conclusion: it contained the most important results and recommendations, then mentioning  the sources and references, and among the most prominent results were:- The concerns  of argumentation and inferences’  scholars  in the Ottoman calligraphy , which we see its presence  in their books ,  a witness to their inferences and arguments  , as the number of calligraphy issues in the book  The evidence in the seven modes of recitation attributed to Ibn Khalawayh reached:  forty-nine issues, and in the argument for the seven readers of Al-Farsi twenty-two issues, and in  the evidence on the modes of recitation for Ibn Zangala fifty-eight issues.


- The appearance and clarity of the features of the invocation of the Ottoman calligraphy  in several aspects, including: linking it to the narration , and outweighing it among the different modes of recitation , and so on.
