Sustainable Development of Teacher Quality in the Prophet's Sunnah

Abstract

This research is titled Sustainable Development of Teacher Quality in the Prophet's Sunnah. The research problem lies in the fact that sustainable development of teacher quality is one of the important concepts in the educational process, and its roots extend from the Sunnah of the Prophet. However, it has not received its worth of study and care. Therefore, I wanted to shed light in this study on the concept of sustainable development of teacher quality and devise that from the Sunnah of the Prophet by answering several questions: What is the position of the teacher in the Sunnah of the Prophet? Does it have certain characteristics that it must possess to achieve quality? How is it prepared and qualified according to quality standards? And what is the impact of sustainable development on this? Then, the most prominent proposals for developing teacher quality performance in the future. Research objectives: the research aims to clarify the status of the teacher, the characteristic of a good teacher, how to care for the teacher and prepare him according to quality standards, and the impact of sustainable development on the quality of the teacher, then mention proposals for developing his performance in the future. Results: the researcher concluded that the teacher is the shortest path to achieving quality in education and transmitting it to future generations. Likewise, the concept of sustainable development with its three stages of "appointing a blessing, then nurturing it, then transmitting it to future generations" for the quality of the teacher is derived from the Islamic religion, and the Sunnah of the Prophet is one of the sources of this concept, and training, follow-up and continuous evaluation are among the most important factors influencing the sustainable development of teacher quality. Recommendations: the researcher recommends continuous review of teacher preparation programs in accordance with comprehensive quality standards, working to improve them in line with the tremendous cognitive and technological progress, promoting a culture of dialogue among those working in the field of education, as well as continuous reminders of the position of the teacher.
