Abstract
This research investigates the topic "The classes of readers in the Egyptian school from the beginning of the first century of Hijra to the end of the fourth century of Hijra".The research introduces the emergence of the classes of Egyptian reciters, their abundance of production, their influence on the rest of the schools and the various readings through identifying their bibliographies in the modern era, while emphasizing the importance of the Egyptian reciters in preserving the memorization of the Holy Quran, understanding its meanings, and defending it since the Islamic conquest. Additionally, it demonstrates their efforts and impact on the science of readership/recitation that remains up to our current time. The research is divided into preface, introduction, two chapters, and conclusion which included the most important findings and recommendations, including the interest of the the prophet’s (pbuh) companions (Sahaba) after the Islamic conquest of Egypt in teaching Muslims the recitation/readings based on the acceptable correct conditions. 1. The sequence of the chain of transmitters of reciters of the Qur’an in Egypt from Imam Warsh and his students Al-Asbahani and Al-Azraq, then moving to the reading of Imam Abu Amr Al-Basri, and finally to the reading of Hafs Al-Kofi in modern times.2. The association between Warsh's name and recitations in Egypt in the first Hijri century, as he is considered the true founder of the recitation school in Egypt. 3.The Egyptian Recitation School has outperformed its scientific production’s counterpart since the Islamic conquest, through the breadth and great impact it has had. Recommendations: It is recommended to take care of science of the (Tabaqaat Qurra) the science of the classes of readers of all Islamic societies, old and modern.
