Abstract
The study aimed to identify the reality of evaluation practice in teaching mathematics at the intermediate stage in southern Jeddah from the point of view of mathematics teachers and supervisors in the intermediate stage in southern Jeddah. To achieve this, the study used the descriptive approach through the use of two tools: the questionnaire that was conducted on a sample of (111) middle school mathematics teachers in southern Jeddah. The other is the observation card conducted on (18) female mathematics teachers to observe their evaluation practices in teaching mathematics. The results of the study showed that the reality of evaluation in the teaching of mathematics among middle school female mathematics teachers in the city of Jeddah was very significant in terms of their degree of strong agreement. The study recommended the necessity of conducting practical training and workshops for mathematics teachers in the field of evaluation in teaching mathematics, in addition to the importance of strengthening mathematics teachers and encouraging them to employ peer assessment and self-evaluation in teaching mathematics.
