Abstract

In the name of Allah and his merciful,All praise is due to Allah, his peace and blessings be upon his messenger, his household, and companions.Democratic socialist republic of sri Lanka is an island in Indian sub-continent although nearly 8% of the population is Muslims live in here, there are a lot of groups and communities shia is an important group. shia originated in sri Lanka after the Kumeniyan evolution in Iran. shias told that their ancestors come to sri Lanka to protect themselves from umaiya’s rulers and their torturing but there is no evidence to prove that.shias ideology has been spreading 40 years in Sri Lanka with well-planned scheme and continuous guiding. According to this a lot of Muslims journalists artists and community leaders who have no well Knowledge about Islam are affected. Colombo, Kandy, Polonnaruwa and Kalkudah are the most affected area in sri Lanka. It is obvious that shias have been creating educational centers, welfare centers and propaganda campaigns in these areas.in sri Lanka Muslims are minority people. Muslims are poor in education and economic in this country. relationship between Iran and sri Lanka grows well. so shias community can create a policy in certain selected places in certain ways.meanwhile Ahlus sunnah Wal jamaah members have no idea to take action against people who has no interest in religion and comments about Islam. Iran government planned well their activities here. these are the main reasons to expand their ideology in sri Lanka. shias handle lot of ideas to spread their ideology. They are conducting seminars, workshops, classes, scholarship programs and campaigns. and paying donation or salaries to students and teachers, orphans, and widowers. They use these ideas to attract and cover the people towards them. they conduct workshops for guiding unemployed people. they publish books, magazines, and brochures. they arrange trips and tours to local and foreign countries to captivate people to wards shias.Although Ahlus sunnah Wal jamaah had tried to stop or decrease the effect of shias, they made mistake to identify their true target, views and had not planned well according to shias ideology. so, it is important to have more attention to this and identify the serious condition and m

ake a good- plan to stop or decrease shias activities here. this survey is trying to tell and analyze the origin of shia, the growth and the current conditions in sri Lanka now. and furthermore, it also tries to tell the ways to protect the Muslim community from shias effect and thoughts.may Allah permit to satisfy him and serve him.
