Abstract

Research Title: "Documentation on obscurity by Imam Malik, an applied study in Al-Muwatta"This research discussed the reasons that led Imam Malik to obscurity; it also dealt with revealing the veil about the trusted ones who obscured them in Al-Muwatta. The research included: introduction, two sections, and a conclusion. First Section: Theoretical, includes: a preface, and four topics: First: The sayings of scholars regarding ruling documentation on the obscurity. Second: Methods of detecting the narrator documented on the obscurity. Third: The reasons for documenting the obscurity in Al-Muwatta. Fourth: Forms of documentation on obscurity in Al-Muwatta. Second Section: The applied, includes one topic, uncovering the obscured trustworthy ones in Al-Muwatta, it has two requirements. First: Whom obscured by trust. Second: Whom  obscured by “who are trusted”. Findings: - The importance of detecting the documented narrator on obscurity is important to know his state of authentication or weakness, hence judge the hadith as correct or weak. There are two forms of documentation on obscurity in Al-Muwatta: (On trust) which are (9), and (I heard from whom I trust) appeared in one site. - The search revealed seven narrators trusted by Malik on obscurity.
