Abstract:

This research deals briefly with the relationship of Qur’anic Recitations with the Arab dialects, and their impact on the Uthmani Script. It shows how closely the Qur’anic Recitations are associated with each other, and shows the importance of learning, studying and understanding them. The research adopted the genetic and inductive method, as well as the descriptive and analytical method. The nature of the research necessitated to divide it into an introduction, three sections and a conclusion. The first section dealt with the concept of Qur’anic Recitations and their source, while the second section addressed the concept of Uthmani Script and the position of scholars toward adherence to it. The third section explained the multiplicity of Qur’anic Recitations and their relationship to the Uthmani Script. I concluded the research with a conclusion where I clarified the most important results and recommendations.
