Abstract
The research aims to highlight the personality of Imam Ibn Al-Faris Al-Andalusi in the science of interpretation through his book "Ahkam Al-Qur'an", by defining his method of interpretation, its sources in his book, and by showing the most prominent advantages of his book. His time, but his emergence in the science of interpretation did not receive attention and study.
This research includes an introduction, a preface, five chapters, a conclusion, and an index of sources and references. The study concluded with several results, the most prominent of which are:
1- There are many sources of Imam Ibn Al-Faris in his book, and they exceeded one hundred sources, and some of the sources are manuscripts or missing, and this indicates the effort made by his compiler.
2- Imam Ibn Al-Faris was not just a transmitter of the sayings of those who preceded him from among the scholars, but he had a prominent scientific personality in his book through his preferences and consequences.
3- Imam Ibn Al-Faris distinguished himself by his response to the doctrines that contradict the doctrine of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah when he interpreted some verses of belief.
4- Imam Ibn Al-Faris was honest and objective when presenting and discussing the sayings, and he was not intolerant of the doctrine of Imam Malik bin Anas, but rather had his independence and his preferences in which the imam may have violated his doctrine, which indicates his care of evidence.
5- Imam Ibn al-Faris followed in his book Jadat al-Ulama al-Tafsir al-'Ulama.
