Abstract
The research aims at defining the characteristic without which evidence cannot be deemed as such – that is being the characteristic of necessity i.e., integral, indispensable, and inevitable. The link between the two things is undetachable such that whatever is proven to be inevitable if another thing takes place, it will stand as evidence on it. Afterwards, the research will discuss its scientific implications on the inference process, presenting and explaining the most important of them.
The research concludes with a number of findings and recommendations, including the importance of paying attention to the distinctive meanings of the reality of evidence, and the need to study them in more depth, in order to help clarify these important points, including the fact that the character of evidence has multiple implications for the process of inference in all knowledge-based fields, and that it is not specific to a particular science or domain of knowledge.
