Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the book My Beautiful Language for the fifth grade in the light of reflective thinking skills, and the study population consisted of the book My Beautiful Language for the fifth grade in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the new edition for the year (2016/2017), which was approved by the Ministry of Education for use in all schools in the Kingdom, and It consists of two parts, each part is studied in one semester, and to achieve the goal of the study, the researcher analyzed all the lessons included in each part and used the qualitative analytical approach and the content analysis tool to reveal the availability of reflective thinking skills in the book My Beautiful Language for the fifth grade. The researcher presented the analysis tool to a panel of arbitrators, and also calculated the validity of the analysis by analyzing one unit of the book that was randomly selected by researchers and an Arabic language teacher, calculating the Spearman correlation coefficients, and calculating the stability of the analysis across individuals using the SPSS statistical program)) For data analysis and processing, chi-squared test (2χ), Spearman correlation coefficient, and Holstoy equation for stability, were used to ensure the validity and reliability of the tool. The study reached the following results: At the level of the parts, the reflective thinking skills were repeated in the two parts (824) times, and the skill of choosing the optimal solution ranked first with a frequency of (442) and a percentage of (53,64%). In favor of this skill, the differences were statistically significant at the significance level (α≤0.05). In light of the expected results, the researcher recommends that the skills of reflective thinking should be taken into account in the new editions of My Beautiful Language curriculum.
