Abstract

The problem of the research appears in light of the development of social, economic and political conditions and the increase in the population, and the accompanying all of this of the large number of transactions and their different types: So some quarrels and disputes appeared in society, and the subsequent matters that may lead to severing the ties of kinship, disobedience to parents, separation between spouses, loss of rights, and other matters that lead to the corruption of the relationship. This necessitated the study of the methods of reconciliation in Islamic law, and its benefits for the individual and society. The aim of the research is to clarify what is meant by the reconciliation in Islamic Sharia, and to clarify the reasoning of the legitimacy of the reconciliation in Islamic Sharia, and to clarify the methods of reconciliation in Islamic Sharia, and to clarify the benefits of reconciliation for the individual and society. In their research, the researcher relied on the inductive and analytical approaches, with the aim of deducing evidence and proofs related to the research problem that helped answer the research questions, and reached results, the most important of which are: Reconciliation is one of the greatest charitable works that Allah commanded, prepared for those in charge of them great merit, the Prophet desired them and urged his nation to do it, and that the Islamic approach is based on Quranic verses and prophetic hadiths, which encourages unity and alliance, and forbids division and difference, and out of Islam’s keenness to reconcile relations, for which some prohibitions are permitted out of necessity. Reconciliation has great benefits, including: The stability of the Muslim community, the elimination of grudges, so that brotherhood and security, peace and prosperity prevail within the Muslim community, so that it may live in peace and harmony. The research also proved the realism of Islam, as it did not presume in its ideal followers, but rather assumed errors and problems, and worked to solve them by reconciliation between people, and to encourage and urge reconciliation in all its forms.
