Abstract

This research came under the title: ((issues related to drawing the Qur’an in the interpretation of al-Samarkandi (d. 373 AH) called (Bahr al-‘Awm) collection and study and its impact on the meaning)), and the importance of this research appears in the lofty position of the science of drawing the Qur’an in relation to the Great Qur’an, meaning and graphic. And that this research has combined various sciences, such as interpretation, readings, and drawing the Qur’an, and this increases its importance; Due to the lack of similar studies, the research consists of: an introduction, a preface, three chapters and a conclusion. The introduction mentioned the nature of the research, the reasons for its selection, its scientific importance and the research plan. The preface has two requirements: The first requirement: Introducing Imam Abu Al-Layth Al-Samarkandi. The second requirement: introducing his book on interpretation called Bahr al-Ulum. Then the first topic: the issues in which the drawing of more than one copy of the Qur’an was mentioned, the second topic: the issues in which the drawing of the Qur’an was used to guide the readings, and the third topic: the issues in which the drawing was used to denote a language of the Arabs. Then the conclusion, which includes the most important results of the research, and the most important recommendations. Then I concluded that with a proof of the most important sources and references, then a comprehensive index of the contents.
