Abstract

This research entitled (Imam Masoud bin Muhammad al- Nisaburi al-Tarithi, deceased in 578 AH. [His life and effects(,addressed a comprehensive study of Imam Masoud bin Muhammad al-Nisaburi al-Tarithi (d. 578 AH), his life, his teachers, his students, his scientific status, the jobs he occupied, and the scholars’ praise for him. and its literary effects. The issue of the study follows from the importance of the Islamic Jurisprudence in the lives of Muslims, a fortiori the need for students of forensic science to know the progress, methods, and effects of scholars and jurists accredited in the schools of jurisprudence. The aim of the research is to identify the name of the imam and his birth, prove his lineage, and indicate its scientific value in the Shafi’i school of thought in particular and Islamic jurisprudence in general, through the historical and comparative approaches. The research relied on a number of results, the most important of which are: identifying the reason for the scholars’ difference in his ratio between Al-Nisaburi and Al-Nashauri. To prove the validity of his lineage, as well as stating his scientific value and his fame as the Qutb al-Nisaburi, and the weighting of what the scholars differed in regarding his biography and effects.
