Abstract

Praise be to Allah، Lord of the worlds، and prayers and peace be upon the latest prophet and messenger، and upon all his family and companions، and after. This research is entitled “The Approach of the Righteous Predecessors in Weighing Between the Benefits and the Evils in Commission for Virtue Promotion and Vice Prevention.” This research aims to balance the weighting between the interests and the evils in the event of their conflict by fulfilling the criterion of the righteous predecessors in weighing between benefits and evils. In addition، the research provides real field implications for this balancing scale.


The analytical method is used to induct models from the Quran، Sunnah، and the deeds of the Righteous Predecessors (Salaf) to form a road map for deducing indications of applicable regulations and considering weighing between the benefits and evils.


The results certified that the Quran، the purified Sunnah، the jurisprudence of the Salaf include a straightforward approach in weighing between the benefits and the evils. Furthermore، the Islamic resources emphasized the significance of the Islamic cognitive qualifications that agents working in the commission for virtue promotion and vice prevention should possess and the vital importance of considering the reality and consequences of promoting virtue and preventing vice.


Qualifying and coaching the agents with the basics and coordinating weighing between the benefits and evils is recommended.
