Abstract

Sheikh Al-Amīn’s selections in directing al-Qirāʾāt (the different Quranic readings)

All prays is due to Allah, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, companions and those who followed him, to start with:

The Quranic interpreters have shown concern in the Mutawātir (mass transmitted narrations) and the Shādh (anomalous) Qur’anic readings since the beginning of the recording of this blessed science, and Quranic exegesis books are considered among the most important sources of al-Qirāʾāt, therefore, in this research I studied the selections of Sheikh Muhammad Al-Amīn Al-Shanqeeti - may Allah have mercy on him - in directing the Qirāʾāt, I traced his selections and compiled them in these papers.

This type of research is concerned with showing the methods and selections of the Quranic interpreters, and the impact of this on their interpretation.
