Abstract

The current research aims at determine the effectiveness of a proposed enrichment program according to the STEAM model in developing innovative thinking skills for gifted girls in secondary 2nd graders in Jeddah. creative thinking skills were identified, and a proposed conceptualization of the STEAM based enrichment program for development of creative thinking skills was built. quasi-experimental approach was used, a creative thinking test was built and applied to a sample of (50) students distributed into an experimental group of (25) students and a control group of (25) students. the results showed that there is a statistically significant difference at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group (who were exposed to the enrichment program) and the control group (who were not exposed to the enrichment program) In the post application of the creative thinking test, in each of (flexibility - fluency - originality) for the benefit of the experimental group, The research recommended that teachers should be trained in project-based learning methods and strategies built according to the STEAM integrative model, curricula include attitudes and activities that stimulate the mental and creative powers of gifted students through challenges  that built according to the STEAM integrated model.
