R, Difficulties of co-curriculum activities in Islamic science among secondary school students in Saudi schools in Kuala Lumpur

Abstract

This study aims to identify the Difficulties of the co-curriculum activity in the Islamic among secondary school students in Saudi schools in Kuala Lumpur. The researcher used the descriptive approach to achieve this goal، and developed a questionnaire consisting of two dimensions: Difficulties of the co-curriculum activity, and Suggestions to improve these activity.  The questionnaire consisted of (19) items distributed on the two mentioned dimensions. The study has been conducted to the entire study population (all secondary students in the Saudi schools in Malaysia), the number of students responding to the questionnaire was (91) which represents (85.05%) of the study population، while the total number of students (population) in the study was (107) the number of questionnaires that were not filled was (16) 14.95%.  The results showed that the shortage of places allocated for activities in the school was the most important of these difficulties with average of 4.0930. Pertaining question two the results showed that facilitating the administrative procedures for organizing and participating in extracurricular activities in the school was one of the most important suggestion to improve the co-curriculum activity with average of (4،1954). Finally، the study presented some recommendations related to the research such as Preparing places and tools to organize co-curricular activity, and provide the appropriate budget.
