Title of the study: effectiveness of field trips to develop social skills in interpretation subject for first secondary grade school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Objectives of the study: The study aims to represent procedural model depends on field trips through educational situations to develop social skills in interpretation subject for first secondary grade school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, identify social skills in interpretation subject, identify principles and procedures of applying field trips to develop social skills in interpretation subject, and measuring the effectiveness of field trips to develop social skills in interpretation subject for first secondary grade school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The study sample: The study has been applied on a random sample of first secondary grade students in AlRayan privacy school for boys in AlMadinah AlMunawarh. The total number of students was 100 students in four classes, an exploration sample has been chosen randomly from the classes (C) and ( D ) with the number of 23 students which were not included in the final sample of the study. Whereas the final sample of study has been chosen from class ( A ) with the number of 25 students as an experimental sample, and class ( B ) with the number of 24 students as a standard sample. The total number of the final sample of the study was 49 students.
Methodology and tools of the study: The study used descriptive analytical method through achievement test which measures the effectiveness of field trips to develop social skills in interpretation subject for first secondary grade students and the Semi-experimental approach, the two equivalent groups experimental and standard were designed side by side with the pre and post measurements and comparing the results before and after applying field trips of features of Prophet's biography. The main aim was to identify the effectiveness of field trips to develop social skills in interpretation subject for first secondary grade school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Statistical treatments: to analyze the information of the study statistically, the statistical program ( SPSS) was used by following the statistical methods below:
Ease, difficulty, and discrimination coefficients for test items, Pearson's coefficient, Alpha-Cornpach, intrinsic Validity, Spearman Brown, Duplicates and percentages, Arithmetical averages and standard deviations, Torsion coefficient ( Skewness ), Independent sample T.Test, Paired sample T.Test, ETA box to measure the size of the effect, Black's equation to measure the effectiveness of suggested program.
Results of the study: The study has concluded many results, the most important of it was as following:
- Identify the social skills in Interpretation subject for first secondary grade.
- Identify principles and procedures of field trips to develop social skills of interpretation subject.
- There are statistically function differences at the level ( 0.05 ) between Mediterranean degrees of social skills for the two groups of study after the post test of social skills in interpretation subject for the experimental group .
- Using field trips has succeed effectively to develop the social skills in interpretation subject for the experimental group.
- Students of experimental group are practicing social skills ( to a high degree ) after applying field trips.
