Social networks became a dynamic movement that influenced what is now called the new-alternative media, which changed the nature of social relations and increased the pace of participation of the individual in political life and excellence, especially after the wave of Arab democratic transformation and political change, which contributed to the birth The national identity of the individual conforms to and strengthens the principles of democracy and freedom. On the other hand, these networks created the abolition of the phobia of time and space, the loss of confidence in the governments of their countries, and the state of political instability or failure to build a democratic state. This study attempts to investigate the role of social networks in raising political awareness among young people from their point of view. This paper attempts to answer the following questions:
- What are the habits and patterns of youth use of social networking sites, and what are the motives and uses of this use?
- What are the trends towards the cognitive impact of social networking sites on young people?
- How do young people perceive the role of social networking sites in the Arab Spring revolutions?
- What are the main obstacles to the use of social networking sites from the perspective of young people?
