Abstract

The utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become increasingly crucial in the global economy today. This importance extends to the education sector in the Aden Governorate of the Republic of Yemen, where ICT has gained significance in enhancing the effectiveness of training programs for educators to improve their job performance. This study aims to investigate the impact of ICT as a moderating variable on the relationship between training effectiveness and job performance of educators in the education sector of the Aden Governorate, Yemen.
A descriptive, analytical, and descriptive statistical approach was employed to analyze the sample data. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was utilized to test six hypotheses and achieve the study objectives. The study methodology included a field study encompassing a sample of 367 teachers from primary, secondary, and elementary schools in the education sector of the Aden Governorate, Yemen. Data collected were analyzed using regression analysis to determine the relationship between training effectiveness and job performance, and the moderating effect of the ICT variable on this relationship. The study found that ICT, as a moderating variable, has an impact on the relationship between training effectiveness and job performance. The study provides a set of recommendations, foremost among them being the integration of ICT such as e-learning platforms and virtual classrooms to enhance the effectiveness of training programs, thereby leading to better job performance among educators in the education sector.
The findings of this study have significant implications for the education sector in the Aden Governorate, Yemen. Schools should invest in ICT to enhance the effectiveness of their training programs, ultimately leading to improved job performance among teachers.
