TAWJĪH AL-QIRĀʼĀT BY AL-IMĀM AṢ-ṢAFĀQUSIYY IN HIS BOOK "GHAYTH AL-AAFʻ FĪ AL-QIRĀʼĀT AL-SABʻ" FROM SURAH AZ-ZUMAR UNTIL THE END OF SURAH AT-TŪR

Abstract

The scholars of Qirāʼāt took care of the various sciences of Al-Qirāʼāt within their comprehensive books on the Qirāʼāt, and among of them was the scholar ʻalī Al-Nūrī Aṣ-Ṣafāqusiyy (May Allāh have mercy on him); who took care about the sciences of Tawjīh Al-Qirāʼāt in his book titled “Ghayth Al-Aafʻ Fī Al-Qirāʼāt Al-Sabʻ”. This research aims (1) to demonstrate Tawjīh Al-Qirāʼāt from surah az-zumar until the end of surah at-tūr; (2) to highlight the most prominent paths in Tawjīh Al-qirāʼāt by al-imam aṣ-ṣafāqusiyy in his book “Ghayth Al-Aafʻ Fī Al-Qirāʼāt Al-Sabʻ”; (3) to show the most important characteristics that were included in his book. By employing the inductive and analytical method. The Author reached the following findings: (1) the diversity of Tawjīh Al-Qirāʼāt, It includes the linguistic, grammatical, structural, moral, formal, performative and so on (2) Directing Al-Qirāʼāt by uising other sciences such as the science of al-Waqf and al-ibtidāʼ and; (3) defending the imams of Al-Qirāʼāt and their narrators and respond to those who Criticized them and refused their Qirāʼāt.
