Freedoms and Human Rights between Islam and Heavenly Religions: A Comparative Descriptive Study

Abstract

This study، tagged "Freedom and Human Rights between Islam and the International Covenants on Human Rights"، through which we will learn about the historical development of human rights through the ages، and to highlight a comparison in the Islamic rooting for human rights and other religions، with a comprehensive vision of Islam that dealt with issues of rights and freedoms derived from it from the book and the Sunnah; Islam has come to establish and clarify public rights and freedoms، and to guarantee them to the individual and society، regardless of color، gender، or creed. Therefore، the study aimed to reveal what was stated in international covenants on issues of freedoms and human rights، and to compare those covenants with issues of freedoms and rights in the message of Islam Highness، and clarifying the concept of human rights، and to achieve the objectives of the study، the researcher used the comparative descriptive approach. The research concluded a set of results، the most important of which are: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights cannot do its work in preserving human rights; In view of the lack of response by some countries to this declaration and its application، as its application is subject to the standards of different powers in this world، while a person enjoys under the Islamic state freedom of belief and religion، and the position of Islam towards private intellectual freedom is not different from its position with regard to public intellectualism; Islam has never attempted to impose on certain minds a scientific theory regarding any of these phenomena، just as Islam urged action، and decided the freedom to seek livelihood، and made every Muslim tasked to undertake a beneficial work for himself and the community (and it is enough for one to sin that someone who feeds )، The fact that human rights in Islam are at the core of belief and legislation and are not from creation towards some of them; It is related to the legal costs and duties that reward and punishment inflict، and the advantage of human rights in Islam is that they are comprehensive rights for both the body and the soul. The study، researchers seeking to conduct more research and scientific studies to compare Islam and the monotheistic religions in human rights، and convey this bright picture of defending Islam from the accusations made by its enemies.
