The Approach of Imam Al Newayri in Substantiating Quranic Qira’at in His Explanation of Taibat Al Nashr in Surat Al Baqarah

Abstract

The explanation of the Imam Al Newari on "Taibat Al Nasher" in the ten Qiraat (readings) is considered as one of the most important books in Qiraat, because Taibat Al Nashr is a summary of Al Nashr in the ten Qiraat", which is considered as one of the most important books of Qiraat. This is due to the fact that it is a summary of the mutawatir Qiraat from the time of documenting Qiraat to the author’s age. The problem is that the Imam didn’t mention an independent approach and didn’t attribute to sources of substantiating Qiraat, despite the fact that the previous studies proved the importance of this issue. The present thesis aims to infer his approach in substantiating Qiraat in Surat Al Baqarah (the cow) as well as tracing his sources. The researcher follows the inductive and deductive approaches. The most important results was inferring the approach of the Imam in substantiating Qiraat Arabic, pariculalry on the basis of syntax and grammar. I pray to Allah the Almighty for success, acceptance and loyalty and for making this thesis beneficial for Muslims.
